Invertigo are proud to present ShedCreative, a space for the exploration and discovery of the genetics of theatrical structure. ShedCreative will be a creative space for artists to converge, develop and showcase some of our most daring work, whether that be musical exploration in our pieces, or initial readings of European premieres of bold style and production. ShedCreative will also invite exclusive guest speakers over the coming year to talk about their areas of expertise and to share their experience with the Lab network. Music and the Mind Music and its effect on the brain will be explored with the precision of Science seen through the prism of theatre, merging accordion and guitars with live action to create a potent alchemy of live entertainment. Our investigations will involve a series of workshops in February, culminating in a public sharing of our work. Vanishing Voices Every two weeks a language dies. Why is this happening? What can we do about it? Should we care at all? Physical theatre combined with verbatim accounts put the spotlight on our attitude to dying languages and linguistic diversity locally and globally.
